Takeru Hokazono's manga stars Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira, Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba, Miku Itō as Hinao, and Miyari Nemoto as Char Kyonagi. The anime premieres in April 2027 and streams worldwide that month excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea.
Casting is arriving slowly and out of order for a series like this, which usually reads as a production still filling out a full roster ahead of an April 2027 broadcast, even though the cast list already carries five lead roles.

The announcement came through CyberAgent rather than the anime's own account, and it adds a character the source describes only by affiliation, a sorcerer connected to the Kamunabi. The production itself is set: Tetsuya Takeuchi directs at Cypic, with Keigo Sasaki on character design and Shochiku and CyberAgent on the production committee. The manga runs in English through Viz Media's Shonen Jump and Shueisha's MANGA Plus.

Yūichi Nakamura's Soshiro Azami is Kamunabi, which puts him on the institutional side of Kagurabachi's sorcerer conflict before April 2027 even arrives.
Nakamura's Soshiro Azami is written as Kamunabi, so Kagurabachi casts him on the institutional side of the conflict before April 2027.
Yūichi Nakamura joins Kagurabachi as Soshiro Azami, a sorcerer tied to the Kamunabi. Casting a lead voice on the institutional side before the April 2027 premiere gives the adaptation a built-in axis for its sorcerer conflict, separate from Chihiro Rokuhira's role at the center.
CyberAgent announced Friday that Yūichi Nakamura is joining the Kagurabachi anime as Soshiro Azami, a sorcerer affiliated with the Kamunabi.
