The two phones split by screen size and chip. The Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 6.4-inch display and runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and runs the higher-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both carry Leica-branded rear triple cameras: a 200-megapixel main camera, a 200-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The main sensor differs between the two models. The Xiaomi 18 Pro uses the Light Hunter 960, and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max uses the Light Hunter 960L, which supports LOFIC to hold back blown-out highlights in high-contrast scenes. The area around the rear camera is itself a display, and it can show photos, a water intake monitor, and AI-composited images of characters. Memory and storage come in four tiers, and the cheapest 12GB/256GB Xiaomi 18 Pro is 5,999 yuan.
The Pro and Pro Max split on the same 200-megapixel Leica camera concept by sensor generation, so the larger model's LOFIC main sensor is the only hardware reason the two prices differ by 1,000 yuan at the base tier.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max share four memory and storage tiers: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. At the cheapest 12GB/256GB tier, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is 5,999 yuan and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is 6,999 yuan.

The rear camera housing doubles as a display, and Xiaomi pairs it with AI compositing so owners can place favorite photos or characters on the back. It can also show a water intake monitor. The two phones otherwise carry the same camera layout, with the main sensor as the only difference between the Pro and the Pro Max on the rear. Chinese media covering the launch reported the new models alongside OPPO's Find X10 Pro Max, which uses a Hasselblad-branded system; both phones are described as running next-generation 2nm process chips, and neither has a confirmed Japan release date, Japan price, or launch window.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max share almost every rear camera part except the main sensor: Light Hunter 960 on the Pro, Light Hunter 960L with LOFIC on the Pro Max.
Xiaomi's two new flagships split by screen size and chip.
