VTuber Project
The Sanrio-operated VTuber group Nyantajia! announced on October 14 that member Wakama Hi El will end her activities. The cat VTuber debuted in May 2024 as a second-generation member of the project, performing in game streams and posting cover song videos. According to the announcement, a magic effect that gives El a human form will wear off, returning her to her original cat form, where she is scheduled to spend her time peacefully. Her membership plan and various content will end on October 31, while her past social media posts and streaming archives on YouTube and Twitch will remain available. Merchandise at the Sanrio Anime Store and BOOTH stays on sale while stocks last, with birthday commemorative goods ordered from November 5 and no general sales planned. A gaming keyboard and glass mousepad announced by Rabbit0 will still be released as planned. El thanked fans in her own message, saying their comments brightened her days.
The end comes after the project announced in July that El was suspending activities because of poor health, so the graduation closes a period that had already been paused rather than a run that continued to the final day.

The end of Wakama Hi El's membership was posted on the project's official X account, which also carried her note to fans.
