Arainami T081 is the anthropomorphized form of Toei's distribution mark, drawn by illustrator Ryosuke Takeuchi, who has worked on art for Pokemon and Monster Hunter. The name's T081 reads as TOEI through wordplay.","whyItMatters":"The move extends the branding project from apparel into character merchandise and social media content, giving Toei a mascot to work with beyond its existing logo.","webCardHtml":"\u003cp\u003eThe character goes by Arainami T081, a name that turns TOEI into a near-future spelling. The credit line behind Pokemon and Monster Hunter art is the draw, not the mascot.","threadsPost":"Toei's Aranami Project handed Ryosuke Takeuchi the distribution mark, the stamp on every release that audiences scroll past. Arainami T081 makes that mark a character. The illustrator's Pokemon and Monster Hunter work is why the reveal carries weight.","newsletterBlurb":"Toei marked this year's Toei Day, October 8, by announcing Arainami T081, a character based on its distribution mark, drawn by illustrator Ryosuke Takeuchi.
