The editorial department said it will prioritize his health and recovery. In a separate statement, Chiba said severe summer heat may be the cause and that he will focus on recovering. He apologized to readers and asked for patience.","whyItMatters":"For an 87-year-old author who has kept an autobiographical series running in Big Comic since December 2015, the magazine's decision to stop serialization and defer to his recovery is the practical outcome of a health problem Chiba himself links to this summer's heat.","webCardHtml":"\u003cp\u003eBig Comic issue 19 carried the announcement, and the editorial staff added that Chiba wants to resume serialization as soon as possible.
