PS5 in Performance Mode runs at upscaled 2160p and 60fps; Switch 2 runs at roughly 45fps, upscaled to 1440p in TV mode and 1080p handheld. Frame generation lifts Switch 2 to a steady 60fps, and Capcom allows it to be disabled.
The comparison documents where Capcom cut detail to hold the impression of the screen on handheld hardware, and frame generation is the lever that closes the framerate gap on Switch 2.

The comparison ran three versions side by side: PS5 Performance Mode, Switch 2 TV mode, and Switch 2 handheld mode. Shadow edges are sharp on PS5, blurry in TV mode, and faint in handheld, and the same pattern holds for the light boundary in a cave scene lit by a bonfire. Water surfaces show it too: PS5 renders rock reflections and transparency, while handheld mode turns the surface whitish and flat, with TV mode in between.

Small objects go missing on Switch 2. Pebbles and rocks on the ground are omitted, and foreground rocks visible on PS5 and in TV mode do not appear in handheld mode. A separate Steam Deck comparison renders those same rocks, which points to different adjustment choices between the two portable builds.

Switch 2 runs Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen at roughly 45fps against PS5's 60fps in Performance Mode, and the frame generation that closes the gap to 60fps can be switched off by players.
Switch 2's Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen hits 45fps base. The frame generation that lifts it to 60fps is optional, not forced.
ElAnalistaDeBits puts Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen at roughly 45fps on Switch 2 versus 60fps on PS5 in Performance Mode, but the real detail is Capcom letting players turn frame generation off. That switch decides whether the 60fps figure holds up or the 45fps base shows.
ElAnalistaDeBits published a graphics comparison of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on Switch 2 and PS5, covering shadow rendering, water surfaces, and omitted ground details.
