The YouTube Shorts cover Hollow Bastion, Olympus, Neverland, Dwarf Woodlands, Country of the Musketeers, and Agrabah. The collection launches October 8, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox on PC at 11,000 yen including tax. Packaged versions are planned for Switch 2 and PS5. The set bundles three packages: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. The Square Enix RPG series follows protagonist Sora through Disney and Pixar worlds. It will mark its 25th anniversary in 2027. A Switch 2 trial version is available, and pre-orders are open. Individual titles are also sold on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The shorts arrive two weeks before launch and the Hollow Bastion entry leads with a world defined by Final Fantasy characters, so Square Enix is selling the crossover audience rather than the Disney catalog alone.

The shorts are framed as viewable by people who have never played the series. Each runs on YouTube and covers one world, from Hollow Bastion to Agrabah. The collection's three component packages break down into distinct scopes: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX compiles six works, four games plus two HD video works, starting with the first meeting of Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue holds three episodes. Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind includes the Re Mind downloadable content and the first Pixar worlds in the series.

The Final Fantasy roster spans the packages. Kingdom Hearts -Final Mix- has Cloud and Squall. Kingdom Hearts II -Final Mix- adds Tifa, Sephiroth, Vivi, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind brings in Aerith, Yuffie, and Cid. Purchase bonuses differ by platform: a weapon named Long Night on Nintendo Switch 2, Midnight Blue on PlayStation 5, and Phantom Green on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. Pre-orders include 48-hour early access. Owners of the Nintendo Switch Cloud Version can buy the Switch 2 version at a discount and carry save data over.
