It ships November 11, with preorders opening October 29 at 10:00 on Sigma's official online store. The body is priced at 346,500 yen, or 451,000 yen with a 50mm F2 DG lens. It uses a 24.5-megapixel partly stacked CMOS sensor, records 6K open gate, and adds 70GB of internal storage and a tilting rear screen.
The FP2 keeps the original fp's pocketable body but moves the series toward professional cinema work by adding internal storage, 6K open gate recording and a partly stacked sensor, the features small-body shooters previously had to source elsewhere.

The sensor is a 35.9 x 23.9mm partly stacked CMOS unit with about 24.5 effective megapixels. Sigma says the faster readout cuts rolling shutter distortion, and the body supports bursts up to about 20 frames per second with a maximum of 200 frames in one run.

The autofocus switches to hybrid phase-detection and contrast-detection, and subject detection now covers birds alongside people and dogs and cats. The rear screen is a 3.15-inch tilting panel that moves 90 degrees up and 45 degrees down. The body measures about 112.8 x 69.9 x 41.8mm and weighs about 460g with battery and SD card.

Sigma puts 70GB of internal storage in the FP2 and still prices the body at 346,500 yen. Built-in memory cuts the card and rig cost that usually follows a full-frame body, which matters more than the sensor spec.
70GB inside the Sigma FP2 means the storage bill folds into the 346,500 yen body price, not a separate card purchase.
Sigma's FP2 carries 70GB of internal storage, which changes the math on a full-frame kit: the media cost that normally sits outside the body price is inside the 346,500 yen figure. The partly stacked sensor and tilting screen are the specs; the storage is what alters the total spend.
Sigma has announced the FP2, a full-frame mirrorless camera that keeps the fp line's small body and adds a 24.5-megapixel partly stacked sensor, 6K open gate recording and about 70GB of built-in storage. It goes on sale November 11 at 346,500 yen for the body, with preorders opening October 29. A dedicated EVF-21 viewfinder and other accessories ship alongside it.
{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":["Sigma FP2"],"studios":["Sigma"],"people":[],"type":"announcement","domain":"other","is_roundup":false}
["Sigma FP2
Sigma
