Reports link the posts to JOPT, a large real-life poker tournament, announcing top app players as invitees without approval. ROOTS, produced by influencer Yokosawa Sekai, also said it is not involved.","whyItMatters":"Three separate operators publicly disowning an event's use of their names and logos turns what would be a routine tournament promotion into a dispute between the apps and JOPT's organizer, and it lands against an existing split between the Japan Poker Federation and the Japan Poker Promotion Council, whose members include Skyfall and Sammy.","webCardHtml":"\u003cp\u003eThe announcements came from the official X accounts of three separate apps, each using similar wording about events held without their involvement and logos used without permission. Light Three, a poker magazine, had announced that top ranked players from the apps and from the poker room ROOTS would be invited to some JOPT tournaments; ROOTS said it is not involved.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eJOPT has run official partnerships before, including with Poker Chase and the arcade game Poker Stadium. Poker Chase joined the Japan Poker Promotion Council and has not formed partnerships with tournaments involving Hunter Site since. JOPT\u0026#39;s Ladies Tournament, set for October 12, has drawn criticism over condoms listed as prizes for top finishers.\u003c/p\u003e","blueskyPost":"EDGE Poker, Poker Chase, m HOLD'EM and ROOTS all issued the same denial to the JOPT invite story, which means four separate app operators coordinated or independently reached the same conclusion about an event bearing their logos.","twitterPost":"JOPT naming app top players as invitees without approval prompted EDGE Poker, Poker Chase, m HOLD'EM and ROOTS to post near-identical disclaimers.","threadsPost":"Four poker apps (EDGE Poker, Poker Chase, m HOLD'EM and ROOTS) posted the same disclaimer about JOPT using their logos and naming their top players as invitees without permission. When every operator issues the same denial on the same day, the problem is the event's approval process, not one app's caution.","newsletterBlurb":"Three domestic poker apps, EDGE POKER, Poker Chase and m HOLD'EM, have posted that unofficial events are being held under their names and logos without permission. The posts follow reports that JOPT announced top ranked app players as invitees without approval, and the poker room ROOTS has said it is not involved. JOPT has previously run official partnerships with Poker Chase and the arcade game Poker Stadium.","attributionJson":"[{\"source\":\"Game Spark\",\"url\":\"http://www.gamespark.jp/article/2026/10/07/173270.html\",\"title\":\"Domestic poker apps issue warnings about unofficial events one after another; possibly in response to Japan's largest real-life poker tournament \\\"JOPT\\\" inviting top ranked players from each app without permission\"}]","lintFlagsJson":null,"lintHits":0,"costUsd":0,"inputTokens":4631,"outputTokens":624,"status":"published","repairAttempts":0,"nextRepairAt":null,"factsAttemptedAt":1791344230,"createdAt":"2026-10-07T03:31:42.000Z","publishedAt":"2026-10-07T03:36:06.000Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-07T03:36:06.000Z"},"cluster":{"id":"c_4746d913e7376799f7eb6eb6","canonicalTitle":"国内ポーカーアプリが相次いで非公式のイベントに関する注意喚起を告知。国内最大級のリアルポーカー大会「JOPT」が無断で各アプリのトップランカーの招待を行っていることを受けてか","representativeArticleId":"a_b45b780a2aa882dd155221a5","sourceCount":1,"writtenSourceCount":1,"writeAttempts":0,"isSolo":true,"entitiesJson":"{\"anime_titles\":[],\"manga_titles\":[],\"work_titles\":[\"JOPT\"],\"studios\":[],\"people\":[],\"type\":\"news\",\"domain\":\"other\",\"is_roundup\":false}","contentType":"news","status":"published","firstSeenAt":"2026-10-07T02:25:02.000Z","lastSeenAt":"2026-10-07T02:25:02.000Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-07T03:36:06.000Z"},"attribution":[{"source":"Game Spark","url":"http://www.gamespark.jp/article/2026/10/07/173270.html","title":"国内ポーカーアプリが相次いで非公式のイベントに関する注意喚起を告知。国内最大級のリアルポーカー大会「JOPT」が無断で各アプリのトップランカーの招待を行っていることを受けてか"}],"entities":{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":["JOPT"],"studios":[],"people":[],"type":"news","domain":"other","is_roundup":false},"keyFacts":null}
