The Google Fitbit Air Limited Edition Pokemon Sleep will be released on September 15, with pre-orders opening August 28 at the Google Store and official online store in Japan. The price is 19,800 yen including tax. The device, which has no display and weighs 12 grams with the band, features a blue band named Sleepy Blue and a silk print label of a sleeping Pikachu on the strap. The hardware is essentially the same as the regular Fitbit Air, but the design is customized for the collaboration. The Fitbit Air records sleep data, including naps, and syncs with the Pokemon Sleep app. In the app, sleep activity leads to rewards, and Pokemon with traits similar to the user's sleep type gather. The Sleep Score from Google Health is used to calculate Drowsy Power, which increases the chance of encountering rare sleeping faces. The device also tracks heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, steps, distance, and calories. It has a battery life of up to 7 days, a full charge time of about 90 minutes, and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
The collaboration extends Pokemon Sleep's reach beyond the app by tying real-world sleep tracking hardware directly to in-game rewards, a move that could deepen engagement for existing players.

The Fitbit Air, which this edition is based on, launched in May as a monitor-less band with status lights instead of a screen.

The Sleeping Pikachu design is a "silk print label" applied to the strap, not the device body.

In the Pokemon Sleep app, the collected sleeping faces fill a "Sleep Face Dex."

A 5-minute quick charge provides up to 1 day of battery life.

Compatibility covers Android 11 or later and iOS 16.4 or later, and a Google account plus the Google Health app are required.

The Google Health side shows sleep scores, sleep duration, and sleep stages, plus heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, steps, distance, calories, and aerobic exercise load.

The announcement came August 27 via the official Pokemon account, with reservations opening the next day.

Around the same time, the Pokemon Company is releasing "Mocchiri Plush Pokemon Sleep" plushes at Pokemon Centers from September 5, a four-item line of sleeping Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Mew at 3,740 yen each, tied to a "Let's Sleep Together" campaign running September 5 to 20.

Google Fitbit Air Limited Edition Pokemon Sleep ships the same hardware as the base model; the collaboration value is in the Sleepy Blue band and sleeping Pikachu print, not the tech.
Google Fitbit Air Limited Edition Pokemon Sleep: the hardware is identical to the regular Fitbit Air, so the premium is the design, not the specs.
Google Fitbit Air Limited Edition Pokemon Sleep is a re-skin of the standard Fitbit Air.
