The update adds support for the ZELDA NOTES phone service and fixes several issues. The official site now lists all 11 ZELDA NOTES features, including Rumor Quests, a smartphone ocarina with shareable sheet music, map linking, and battle rankings.
Nintendo tied the remake's launch-day patch to ZELDA NOTES, so the phone app is part of how Ocarina of Time is played from day one rather than a later add-on.

Nintendo pushed Ver. 1.1.1 on the same day the remake went on sale, and the first thing a player sees at game start is a setup guide for the phone service. The patch also fixes several issues. The official site now lists 11 supported features for Ocarina of Time, among them Rumor Quests, where a photo on the phone points to a spot in Hyrule, and Ocarina Performance, which turns the phone screen into an instrument. Player-made sheet music can be shared as a QR code. ZELDA NOTES also covers the Switch 2 Editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

ZELDA NOTES launched alongside Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, yet the app's own feature list runs to 11 items including a 2,000-question quiz and phone ocarina.
