The sequel to the 2022 anime based on Cyberpunk 2077 runs 10 episodes in Night City, and begins streaming October 20. The trailer moves quickly through residents of the city, starting on an emotional note before giving way to laughter and screams. An earlier preview showed the girl Talia meeting the boy Roman.
The sequel keeps the game's tone intact rather than softening it, and Netflix is running the trailer five days before the whole 10-episode season goes up at once.

The second season runs 10 episodes and arrives on Netflix on October 20, five days after the trailer. The footage cuts fast through residents of Night City, opening on something tender and then breaking into laughter and screams. Earlier material from the show put the girl Talia and the boy Roman on screen together, and a separate preview covered a character named Jesse, an engineer at a BD shop. The original series came to Netflix in 2022.

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 trailer treats its emotional opening as bait. Laughter and screams follow, which sets the sequel's tone closer to Cyberpunk 2077's cyberpsychosis than the first season's slow tragedy.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2's trailer starts tender, then flips to laughter and screams. The bait-and-switch is the selling point.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2's trailer opens on a soft emotional note before laughter and screams take over. That turn is the pitch: Studio Trigger is selling the sequel as a descent, not a slow burn. A girl named Talia and a boy named Roman are already in the mix.
Netflix released the trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on October 15, five days before the season starts streaming.
