The hololive English talent appears as a 3D model produced under Cover's supervision, with Japanese and English voice lines recorded by Mori Calliope herself. The DLC is the first hololive character in the desktop mascot platform. Her standing pose has her arms crossed or looming with her scythe, and she swings the weapon in one motion. Sitting poses include thinking with a hand at her chin and reclining with a wine glass. Petting her head makes skulls representing her Dead Beats fans and her mentor Death Sensei float on screen while she tries to recover her composure. Dragging her by the waist or hands triggers different reactions, and an alarm makes her appear large across the screen to announce the time. Desktop Mate itself is free, and the base app supports Windows 10 and 11 plus macOS Tahoe 26 and later.
Cover's supervision of the 3D model and Calliope's own bilingual recordings make this a template for how hololive talent can be licensed into third-party desktop software rather than only official apps.

The DLC ships with a multi-character feature that lets two Desktop Mate characters share the screen at once, so Mori Calliope can stand beside the default character Aiel-tan without any extra purchase. That feature does not work in the Mac open beta, which Infinite Loop began distributing in June 2026.

The voice set covers hanging, petting, poking, appearing, leaving, and the alarm. The Japanese track includes a line where she switches into English mid-sentence, a habit the release notes tie to her bilingual delivery. Poking her enough times produces a flash of anger followed by an apology. The alarm sequence has her jump in with arms crossed, spin the scythe overhead, rest it on her shoulder, and wipe her mouth with a thumb.

Infinite Loop is based in Sapporo and lists Windows requirements of 8GB RAM, an Intel Core i5-8250U or AMD Ryzen 3 3300U, and 500MB of storage. The Mac build needs Apple silicon, an A18 Pro or M1 chip or better, and does not support Intel processors. Desktop Mate has previously added DLC characters including Hatsune Miku, MEIKO, KAITO, Kizuna AI, and Kasukabe Tsumugi.

Desktop Mate is free.
