The demo covers Chapter 1 of the point-and-click adventure's six chapters. Distribution is scheduled to end at 23:59 Japan time on November 11, one day before the full release on November 12 for Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Crossbridge Game Studios developed the game, which adapts Tove Jansson's novel of the same name. The story opens as Moomintroll waits for Snufkin, who has not returned from his travels, and a great flood strikes Moominvalley. The Moomin family drifts to a mysterious theater full of costumes, scripts, and stage magic. The Switch 2 version supports up to 4K output, up to 60fps rendering, and HD rumble. Prices are 2,300 yen on Steam and 2,550 yen for the Switch and Switch 2 download versions, both tax included. A new trailer focused on Moomintroll and Little My was released alongside the demo.
The demo's November 11 cutoff falls one day before launch, so Shochiku Games is treating the trial as a week-and-a-half window tied to the release date rather than an open-ended sampler.

The trial version supports Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese in both Simplified and Traditional script.

Package editions for Switch and Switch 2 are also planned, priced at 4,480 yen for the standard edition and 10,120 yen for the limited edition, both tax included.

Crossbridge Game Studios is credited as the developer, with Shochiku publishing.
