Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue posted that the keynote drove the surge and said Pollen Robotics, the developer, needs to grow its team. Microduck is 25 cm tall, weighs 800 g, carries 15 motors plus a camera and sensors, and costs $399 before tax and shipping.
The $399 robot's order spike followed a single stage demo rather than any product change, and it lands at a developer whose parent Hugging Face NVIDIA acquired in September 2026.

Huang handled the robot by voice during the keynote at GTC 2026 in Berlin. Clips of the segment circulated mainly on social media, and orders climbed past the 20,000 mark in the days after. Delangue's posts frame the jump as a direct result of the demo and add that Pollen Robotics and Hugging Face are hiring across all roles to keep up. The unit ships with walking, sitting, squatting, getting up from a fall, and roller-skating available out of the box, and users can teach it new actions and share them with the community. Delivery is scheduled for Christmas.

Microduck's 20,000 pre-orders followed a stage demo, not a product review. Pollen Robotics now has to ship a $399 robot at a scale Jensen Huang's voice command created in minutes.
Microduck drew 20,000 pre-orders off one Jensen Huang demo. Pollen Robotics has to build at a scale that stage moment created, not one it planned for.
Microduck's 20,000 pre-orders came from Jensen Huang operating one by voice on stage at GTC 2026 in Berlin. The demo proved the robot responds. It did not prove Pollen Robotics can build 20,000 of them, which is the gap Clem Delangue pointed at when he said the team needs to grow.
Pre-orders for Pollen Robotics' Microduck passed 20,000 units after NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang operated the duck-shaped robot by voice command at GTC 2026 in Berlin.
