A new app called Marvel Comics, run by WEBTOON, launches on November 16 with roughly the same subscription price and more than 35,000 comics at launch. Purchased comics transfer through individual redemption codes, and libraries can be viewed until December 21 before the app is removed on December 28.
Marvel's digital subscription library moves to an operator whose format is the vertical scroll, which sets the reading experience for the back catalog rather than the platform's own history.

Marvel Unlimited stops adding new content and stops serving readable comics on December 7, 2026. Registered users can keep opening their library until December 21 to move material over, after which the app is removed on December 28.

The replacement is Marvel Comics, run by WEBTOON, the company behind vertical-scrolling digital comics from South Korea. It arrives on November 16 with roughly the same subscription price as Marvel Unlimited and more than 35,000 comics at launch. Existing libraries, reading progress, redeemed comics and saved issues carry over, and comics bought on Marvel Unlimited become purchased titles on the new app through individual redemption codes.

Marvel Unlimited readers who bought individual issues do not get them carried over automatically: they have to redeem them through codes before the Marvel Comics app from WEBTOON opens.
Purchased comics do not move on their own. Marvel Unlimited readers need redemption codes to carry their libraries into the Marvel Comics app.
Marvel Unlimited libraries transfer through redemption codes, not automatic migration. That is the step readers who bought single issues have to complete before the Marvel Comics app from WEBTOON opens, and it puts the burden of keeping a library intact on the customer.
Marvel Unlimited ends service on December 7, 2026, roughly 19 years after it launched as a flat-rate Marvel Comics subscription.
