It adds dedicated scenario routes for Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu, plus a higher difficulty setting called Hero Mode, which makes enemies tougher and halves damage dealt to them. The update was originally planned for September 15 but was delayed a month after several development members fell ill. A fan-made Japanese localization mod was updated the same day.
The update lands a month late after illness on the development side, and the fan translation team had a compatible Japanese build ready on the same day, which keeps the game playable in Japanese through the patch.

The patch adds scenario routes for Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu, where growing close to each heroine and clearing events opens new stories and dedicated endings. The patch notes also list scenario additions and adjustments beyond those two routes. Hero Mode is a separate higher difficulty setting: enemies are tougher and a modifier halves the damage dealt to them. It is chosen from the environment settings screen rather than the normal difficulty options, and it can be toggled on and off at any time. The update was pushed from September 15 to October 15 after multiple development members fell ill.

Legend of Mortal's month-long delay traces to illness on the Obb Studio team, and the update still shipped Hero Mode alongside the Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu routes. The fan Japanese mod updated the same day.
Legend of Mortal's delay was illness, not scope: Obb Studio pushed the update from September 15 to October 15 after development members got sick. Hero Mode halves player damage while making enemies tougher, so the two new routes arrive with a harder baseline.
Obb Studio shipped a major update for Legend of Mortal on October 15, adding scenario routes for Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu and a higher difficulty setting called Hero Mode.
