The trailer carries all three of the season's theme songs: Asaka performs the opening theme, Eri Sasaki the ending theme, and Kiminone the series theme. The visual gathers eight characters at a campsite, including Nadeshiko, Rin, Chiaki, Aoi, Ena, Ayano, and the newer students Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa. Yumiri Hanamori, Nao Toyama, Sayuri Hara, Aki Toyosaki, Rie Takahashi and Tomoyo Kurosawa return among the cast, with Akio Otsuka as narrator. Shin Tosaka returns to direct at FuRyu Pictures, which takes over animation production from 8-Bit. Pierre Sugiura is again in charge of series scripts, Ryuta Ura is the new character designer, and Akiyuki Tateyama and Takeshi Takadera return as composer and sound director.
The staff turnover is the substance here: FuRyu Pictures replaces 8-Bit and Ryuta Ura takes over character design, so the fourth season changes studios while keeping its director, script writer, composer and core cast.

The opening theme is Asaka's "Brand New." (also romanized as "Burannyu."), with lyrics, composition and arrangement by Maoto Kuge.

The ending theme is Eri Sasaki's "Happa no Tegami" (Leaves' Letter), with lyrics by Sasaki and composition and arrangement by Sasaki and Hiro Nakamura.

The series theme is Kiminone's "Tonari ni Ireba," with lyrics by Tsumugishachi and composition and arrangement by Maoto Kuge.

Ema Mizunami is voiced by Maria Sashide (credited as Mari Shito in the Japanese staff listing), and Mei Nakatsugawa by Aina Amamiya (Kokoa Amano), both of whom joined in Season 3.

The trailer follows the Outdoor Activities Club as the members advance a grade and plan how to recruit new students.
