Donald Glover will direct, write, executive produce and star in the series. His brother Stephen Glover joins as writer and executive producer. Michael Schaefer of NEON TV and Fam Udeorji of Gilga are also executive producers. On the KRAFTON side, the entertainment division LV3H handles planning, development and production, with Chang Taeseok and Lee Sujin serving as executive producers. Donald Glover won two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards and worked on Atlanta and Community. No key visuals, story details or footage have been released, and the streaming date is undecided. Further details will be announced later.
PUBG built its audience on a game that foregrounds no fixed story or cast, so the adaptation has to invent its characters from scratch rather than compress an existing plot.

Game Spark ties the project to KRAFTON's wider push into original entertainment content, and notes that the company has been building out media around the battle royale's setting, including a live-action video series about PUBG's background and an anime project with Adi Shankar.

Donald Glover's music work as Childish Gambino, including Grammy-winning songs, comes up in the same coverage.
