The playable slice covers the early portion of the game, and save data carries over to the full release, which lands on October 15, 2026. The game is a search-based 2D action title set in Paris in 1499. It follows Rose, the daughter of Trevor Belmont, through her battles. The full version is planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and PC via Steam. Konami Digital Entertainment handles the release. The demo and the full launch are two weeks apart, with the carry-over feature positioned as the main reason to play early. The Tokyo Game Show period has been crowded with October launches, and this one sits at the front of that stack.
Konami is giving the demo a two-week window before launch with carry-over saves, which puts the early build in front of players as the actual opening of the game rather than a teaser slice.

The demo went live at the start of the month on the same platforms as the full release. Rose Belmont is the playable lead, and the setting is Paris in 1499, which places the story at the tail end of the 15th century and separates this entry from the mainline Belmont timeline that most players know.

Konami has paired the demo with save carry-over, a detail that matters more for a search-based action game than for a linear one: exploration-heavy titles punish players who start over, so the transfer removes that friction. The full version is set for October 15, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and PC via Steam.

The demo covers the early game only, so the carry-over applies to that early stretch, not to the whole campaign. Konami has not described how long the demo runs or where the cut-off point sits.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse splits its demo and release by two weeks, which makes the save carry-over load-bearing: early play only pays off if players are still holding the file when October 15 arrives.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse puts two weeks between demo and release. The save carry-over only pays off if players hold on that long.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse spaces its demo and full release exactly two weeks apart, so the save carry-over is doing the convincing. Konami is betting a 1499 Paris slice is enough to keep the file alive until the October 15 launch.
Konami put out a demo for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse on Thursday, two weeks before the full launch on October 15, 2026.
