Its AI system KAORIUM suggests fragrances from a visitor's stated preferences; Fragrance Journey suggests them from photos of travel destinations. Visitors who try either get a fragrance card and a 500-yen coupon at participating shops.
Scentmatic is putting scent-to-word AI in front of mall shoppers rather than a lab or a trade show, and the two stations split the pitch cleanly: one reads your taste, the other reads a place you want to go.

The event runs 10:00 to 20:00 daily at Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall, 1-1-3 Meieki, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya. KAORIUM is free and needs no reservation, though the company notes waits are possible depending on congestion and that the time required varies by person.

Products stocked at the venue include AHRES Sound Skin Perfume #Tokyo Sakigake Akatsuki at 13,200 yen, BAUM Eau de Toilette Forest Dawn at 19,800 yen, OSAJI Eau de Toilette on at 7,150 yen, and NEAL'S YARD REMEDIES Reed Fragrance Diffuser Balancing at 9,900 yen. The 500-yen coupon applies to purchases of 4,000 yen or more including tax, one per purchase, with receipts not combined, at participating shops.

KAORIUM and Fragrance Journey split the same job: one reads stated preferences, the other reads travel photos. The coupon attached to both is what turns a scent demo into foot traffic for Takashimaya's shops.
KAORIUM builds a profile from what visitors say; Fragrance Journey builds one from where they have been. Both end at the same 500-yen coupon.
KAORIUM asks visitors to describe what they want; Fragrance Journey skips the questions and reads travel photos instead. Two routes to the same recommendation, and both close with a fragrance card plus a 500-yen coupon at participating shops. The coupon is doing the work the scent display cannot.
SCENTMATIC is bringing its scent-verbalizing AI, KAORIUM, to the TGM fragrance studio event at Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall in Nagoya from October 7 to October 20, 2026. Alongside it runs Fragrance Journey, which reads photos of travel destinations and suggests matching scents. Visitors who try either station receive a fragrance card and a 500-yen coupon usable at participating shops on purchases of 4,000 yen or more.
[{"source":"ASCII.jp","url":"https://ascii.jp/elem/000/004/443/4443455/?rss","title":"AI Fragrance Verbalization System "KAORIUM" to Appear at "TGM fragrance studio" Held at Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall\
{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":["KAORIUM","TGM fragrance studio"],"studios":[],"people":[],"type":"event","domain":"other","is_roundup":false}
["KAORIUM","TGM fragrance studio
