The episode also confirms that Minami recognizes Harugon and Kuroe as the same person and tells her so.
The finale resolves the season's central identity thread by having Minami name Kuroe and Harugon as one person, which is the payoff the arc was built toward.

The last episode of the arc spends its first half on Kuroe's defeat. Akae's kaiju superiority shows in the blow that shatters her wing, and Kuroe's reaction to it is the psychological half: a reminder that she is not a true kaiju or a true girl, followed by a dream of an ordinary life. Minami climbs her back in his movie costume, discarding the boots, and has to grip carefully because her spikes and scales turn to brittle dust under too much pressure. When Kuroe regenerates, she fuses the romantic and kaiju sides of the show into the confession that ends the fight.

Minami telling Kuroe she recognizes Harugon is the detail that outlasts the confession. The episode couples the kaiju blowback and the romance into one reveal, so the secret now has a second holder.
Minami naming Harugon to Kuroe outlasts the confession itself. The secret now has a second holder, which resets the arc's stakes.
The confession is the loud part of Kaiju Girl Caramelise's finale, but Minami telling Kuroe she recognizes Harugon is the part that resets the series. The secret now has a second holder, so the romantic and kaiju sides no longer run on separate tracks.
Kaiju Girl Caramelise wrapped its first arc with a finale that ends the fight through a confession rather than a power-up. Kuroe regenerates after the blow that shattered her wing, and Minami recognizes Harugon and Kuroe as the same person. The episode does not resolve everything the arc raised.
[{"source":"Anime News Network","url":"https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/kaiju-girl-caramelise/episode-12/.242034","title":"KAIJU GIRL CARAMELISE Episode 12\
{"anime_titles":["Kaiju Girl Caramelise"],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":[],"studios":[],"people":[],"type":"release","domain":"anime","is_roundup":false}
["Kaiju Girl Caramelise
