The puzzle adventure is the new game from Jonathan Blow, who worked on Braid and The Witness, developed by Thekla. It is built around more than 1,000 puzzles across four worlds, each with its own mechanics, characters and story. Players guide a queen, a thief, a warrior, a wizard and a talking boat through stages rooted in Sokoban-style block puzzles, some with a single character and some with a switchable party cleared when everyone reaches the goal tiles. PLAYISM handles publishing in Japan. The PC version arrived in Japan and overseas on October 8, 2026, and the Switch 2 and PS5 versions were previously released only overseas.","whyItMatters":"The Steam version of Order of the Sinking Star already holds an Overwhelmingly Positive review status and an 84 Metascore on Metacritic, so the Japanese Switch 2 release brings a puzzle game with a settled reception record to a console audience that had no local version until now.","webCardHtml":"\u003cp\u003eA Japanese PS5 release has no announced timing.
