The game, set in Walton, Texas in 1980, has been available on Steam since April 2025 and has received 13 major updates during early access. Players control survivors in a city hit by a zombie pandemic, gathering supplies, crafting weapons, reinforcing shelters, and deciding whether to fight or flee from hostile humans. Managing hunger, fatigue, and mental state is also part of the survival loop. The Steam version has gathered roughly 9,000 reviews, with 90% positive. Alongside the PC full release, the game will also arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. For Japan, Spike Chunsoft will handle sales of the PS5 and Switch 2 versions, with the price and official release date to be announced later. A teaser trailer featuring gameplay footage accompanied the announcement.
The console announcement brings a Steam early access title with a strong review base to a broader audience, with Spike Chunsoft handling Japanese distribution, a notable step for a game that has been PC-only since 2025.

Spike Chunsoft announced the Japanese release on August 19, 2026, and will sell the PS5 and Switch 2 versions in Japan.
