The lineup has nine products, and sales will run at IKEA stores nationwide, the IKEA online store, and the IKEA app. Each product was developed by one designer from IKEA and one from Xbox. IKEA brought more than 80 years of home furnishing work, and Xbox brought 25 years of gameplay knowledge. Items include the Gaming Stick-Shaped Stool at 7,990 yen, the Gaming Lounge Chair at 15,990 yen, the Gaming TV Stand with Casters at 17,990 yen, and the Gaming Side Table with Casters at 24,990 yen. The cheaper end has the Gaming D-Pad Cushion and the Gaming D-Pad Controller Platter at 1,999 yen each, plus the Gaming Controller Display Box and the Gaming Laptop Stand with Storage at 3,999 yen each. The design motif throughout is the Xbox Wireless Controller.
The collection turns controller parts into furniture, and both companies describe it as an attempt to make gaming gear fit a room after play ends rather than only during it.

The Gaming Stick-Shaped Stool came out of a collaboration between IKEA of Sweden designer David Wahl and Xbox device designer Elliot Hsu, built from the controller's original 3D design data. The stool tilts and spins like a thumbstick. Wahl said he lined up all night for the first-generation Xbox console 25 years ago, and that the shape holds a special nostalgia for him. Hsu said he spent a lot of time on the thumbstick design and is waiting for the day the stool reaches living rooms.

Philip Dilé, who handles product design development at IKEA of Sweden, said the goal was not furniture people reluctantly accept in order to game, but furniture they want to keep out even when not gaming. Carl Ledbetter, Head of Design at Xbox, said the collaboration let the two companies design the space around the screen, not only the screen. The Gaming D-Pad Cushion is machine washable and made from 100% recycled polyester. The Gaming Lounge Chair carries a 10-year quality guarantee. The collection was first unveiled at gamescom 2026, and the Japanese release follows that announcement.

Gaming TV Stand with Casters: 17,990 yen

Gaming Stick-Shaped Stool: 7,990 yen, thumbstick motif

Gaming Controller Display Box: 3,999 yen, removable holder

Gaming Lounge Chair: 15,990 yen, 10-year quality guarantee

Gaming D-Pad Controller Platter: 1,999 yen

Gaming Side Table with Casters: 24,990 yen, built-in charging space

Gaming Monitor Stand: 4,999 yen

Gaming D-Pad Cushion: 1,999 yen, 100% recycled polyester

Gaming Laptop Stand with Storage: 3,999 yen

Each YXSTABY item pairs one IKEA designer with one XBOX designer, so the line splits the XBOX Wireless Controller into D-Pad cushions, controller platters, and a display box rather than whole controllers.
YXSTABY's XBOX Wireless Controller motif lands as cushions, platters, display boxes and stands for 1,999 to 3,999 yen, not whole controllers.
YXSTABY pairs one IKEA designer with one XBOX designer per product, and the XBOX Wireless Controller motif arrives as a D-Pad cushion, D-Pad Controller Platter, and Display Box at 1,999 to 3,999 yen, not as whole controllers.
IKEA Japan is releasing YXSTABY, a nine-product furniture collection made with Microsoft's Xbox brand, from October 1, 2026.
