The date window cycles only through the 17th to the 31st plus an infinity symbol, a nod to the Endless Eight arc. Haruhi Suzumiya and Yuki Nagato models go on sale October 8 on the online Fulton Japan store for 29,700 yen, with 2,006 of each produced.
The watch is a merchandising joke aimed at the audience that sat through eight near-identical episodes, and the 2,006-unit cap tied to the anime's 2006 airing shows the anniversary line is being sold to that specific memory rather than to a general buyer.

The face carries the Prefectural North High School emblem, the SOS Brigade emblem on the second hand, an H over a world map, the benzene molecule ring from the opening, and two natural diamonds at the 20-minute mark. Both models ship with metal and leather bands, a 20th anniversary logo watch case, a guarantee card with art of Haruhi Suzumiya or Yuki Nagato, and a watch stand. The Haruhi model adds an SOS Brigade Leader arm band; the Yuki Nagato model adds a Sterling Inferno bookmark.

A date window that only reads 17 to 31 plus infinity means the watch cannot show the 1st. Buyers get a watch that skips most of the month on purpose.
The watch's date window skips the 1st through the 16th entirely. Owners will see 17 to 31 plus infinity, every month.
The Endless Eight joke is baked into the movement: the date window runs 17 to 31 and then an infinity symbol, so the calendar never reads the first half of any month. That is a watch that refuses to let the loop end.
Toei is releasing limited-edition Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 20th anniversary watches in Haruhi Suzumiya and Yuki Nagato models.
