Growth's Junichi Toki, Yoshiki Yamaya, Daiki Yamashita, and Junta Terashima discuss recording the theme song "Neverending Garden" and playing childhood versions of their characters in the mini drama "Tsukino Magical Academy at the Garden Gate." Erika Suzumori voices child Mamoru Fujimura.
The comments confirm the bonus CD is a prequel to the joint air stage, with child versions of Koki, Kensuke, and Mamoru voiced by Toki, Yamaya, and Suzumori, and the theme song built on overlapping harmonies the cast describes as unusually hard to record.

The pamphlet CD holds three drama tracks plus "Neverending Garden," sung by all four Growth members. Toki says he performed child Koki with a fresh feeling, while Yamaya, who has voiced child Kensuke before, checked tone and innocence against footage from the time. Suzumori returns as child Mamoru and points to the children's exchanges as the draw.

The song itself is the other subject. Yamaya calls it one of the hardest recordings he can recall, and credits hearing Ryota and Mamoru's earlier vocals before his session. Yamashita cites the key range and the passing solo lines. Terashima says the incantations sit naturally with the magic-themed story.

Growth's four members voice childhood versions of their own characters in the mini drama, so the bonus CD doubles as a test of whether they can play younger without the adult register carrying them.
Growth voicing child versions of their own characters in the mini drama is the harder half of this CD, not the theme song.
Growth's bonus CD work splits into two jobs. "Neverending Garden" needs harmony, but the mini drama asks Junichi Toki, Yoshiki Yamaya, Daiki Yamashita and Junta Terashima to play childhood versions of their own characters, a register the stage versions never required.
Cast comments for the Tsukino Magical Academy pamphlet CD are out.
