The company had planned only August 30-31 dates, but English subtitles ran several seconds out of sync and some second-day shows were cancelled. GKIDS supplied a corrected version and said it was weighing makeup screenings.","whyItMatters":"The rescreen is GKIDS acting on the makeup screenings it said it was reviewing in August, tying the corrected theatrical run to the film's home video date.","webCardHtml":"\u003cp\u003eGKIDS first put The Last Blossom in theaters on August 30 and 31. On August 30 the company learned of a subtitling glitch in its DCP and told theaters to pull shows and refund customers; a corrected version went out the next day, but not every theater could update in time and some screenings were cancelled.
