The release window is sometime in 2027, and the price is undecided. Staff who worked on Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match, which launched for the PlayStation 4 in February 2018 and later on the Switch, are participating in development. The game keeps the drifting tank action from that title while improving graphics and presentation. Players operate tanks in matches and can explore a recreation of Oarai alongside protagonist Miho Nishizumi, walking the town or driving the Panzer IV. Talking to friends in various locations triggers game-original quests that lead into matches. Online battles support up to 10 participants, with players choosing their own tank and crew combination. A trailer is streaming. The announcement came alongside a separate smartphone game from G Holdings titled Girls und Panzer: Bokosuka Rush.
The same D3 Publisher team behind Dream Tank Match returns for a Switch 2 title, so the new console gets a follow-up to a game that already ran on the previous Nintendo hardware.

Girls und Panzer: All-Star Tank Carnival is the D3 Publisher project, while Girls und Panzer: Bokosuka Rush is a smartphone game from G Holdings. Both were announced on the same day. G Holdings did not give a release date for Bokosuka Rush, which is set in the "Boko Museum" from Girls und Panzer der Film, where Miho and Alice try the museum's tank simulator and face Boko as an enemy. That game lets players mix crews and tanks, with crew improving and unlocking more tank abilities.

For the Switch 2 title, the combat detail described includes close-quarters fighting while drifting, angling the hull to increase armor thickness and raise ricochet rates, and immobilizing opponents by targeting their tracks. Commanders pop out of their tanks during matches, a detail tied to the anime's feel. The Oarai town section is built from the setting of the television series and film, and the game's story is framed around a Sensha-do festival newly held in that version of the town. The original Girls und Panzer television anime began airing in October 2012. The 2015 film Girls und Panzer the Movie surpassed 2.5 billion yen in box office revenue, and Girls und Panzer das Finale Part 5 opened in theaters on October 9, 2026.

Girls und Panzer: All-Star Tank Carnival keeps Dream Tank Match's drifting action on Switch 2, adds an explorable Oarai you can walk or drive a Panzer IV through, and online matches for up to 10 players. 2027.
Two Girls und Panzer games in one day: All-Star Tank Carnival, a Switch 2 action game from the Dream Tank Match staff, and Bokosuka Rush, a smartphone title set in the film's Boko Museum.
D3 Publisher is making a new Girls und Panzer action game for the Switch 2, due in 2027, with the Dream Tank Match team returning for drifting tank battles, an explorable Oarai, and online matches for up to 10 players.
