The first is a story expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara, centered on protagonist Atsu and her past tied to the Battle of Sekigahara, including a bounty target called Nagato the Handsome, a former lover from three years before the main story. The second is a new single-player mode, Most Wanted, also referred to in one source as Swordsman's Tale, a stage-clear survival mode with roguelike elements built on the main game's battle system and fields, playable after a patch on October 2. Owners of the standard edition can buy a Complete Edition Upgrade. The PS5 version carries a CERO Z rating and is listed at 7,709 yen in one source's retail listing.
Both add-ons reuse the base game's combat for two different retention plays: a character-driven story expansion for players who want more Atsu, and a repeatable roguelike loop that turns the Yotei Six bounties into boss fights with four selectable hunters, including Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.

Bounties from the main story start each run, and stages are drawn from the chosen bounty's region. Select Fox and the fields are largely snow-covered. Mid-bosses include Ippei the Gunpowder, a main-game bounty who fires from long range. Dedicated lines were written for each hunter's boss confrontations: Nagato tells Oni, "The bigger the weapon, the more of a coward you are," and O-Yuki asks Spider, "Aren't you a disgrace to the Six?" Permanent growth spends money (bun) on basic battle skills, health, and stamina, and unlocks amulets, meals, and skills such as Essence of Parrying and Arrow Deflection.

Echoes of Sekigahara adds the long weapon class (kanabo and great hammers) as a breakable helper item, and the new area Ashoro-dai, reached by rescuing Atsu's wolf partner from the Dokumamushi Party, remnants of the Snake. Nagato seeks military funds the Snake gathered for Saito, giving him and Atsu aligned interests. The writer's complaint is that no enemy matches the Yotei Six in impact, and that Nagato's relationship with Atsu is covered mainly in one monologue at a hidden hot spring.

Splitting Ghost Of Yotei Complete Edition's extras by date inverts how add-on launches usually work: the roguelike mode needs an October 2 patch, so the story expansion arrives a day before the mode ships.
Ghost Of Yotei Complete Edition staggers its extras by a day. The Most Wanted roguelike mode needs an October 2 patch, so the story expansion lands first.
Ghost Of Yotei Complete Edition ships its two add-ons on different clocks: Echoes of Sekigahara is content, while Most Wanted needs an October 2 patch, so the roguelike mode and the story expansion do not arrive together on day one.
Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition arrives October 1, 2026 on PS5 with two add-ons: a story expansion about Atsu's past, and a roguelike mode that turns the Yotei Six into stage bosses. The mode enables four hunters, including Jin Sakai from the previous game, with dedicated lines written for specific matchups.
[{"source":"Game Spark","url":"http://www.gamespark.jp/article/2026/09/30/172976.html","title":"Period Drama x Roguelike Is Heating Up!
