The company cites demand from AI services and says each unit holds 24 to 26 racks. It will show containers at Japan IT Week Autumn, October 21 to 23 at Makuhari Messe.
A vendor shipping interconnected 40-foot container units for 100 kW-plus racks signals that AI cluster builders are treating power density and water cooling as procurement problems rather than site-construction problems.

The layout places 24 to 26 racks inside each container unit, and the company says a single rack in a large-scale cluster can draw over 100 kW, with AC400V rack power supply required. Getworks states that water cooling is becoming a must to handle the heat those racks produce, and that configurations of this density are difficult to fit into conventional data centers.

Getworks has announced its first container data center in 2013 and reports over 380 installations as of September 2026, counting more than 300 20-foot units and more than 80 40-foot units. Orders are open by web or email.

Getworks is selling density, not floor space: one 40-foot container stack reaches 2,048 GPUs water-cooled. That capacity figure is the product, and the customer list is whoever can power and cool it.
Getworks' water-cooled model puts 2,048 GPUs in four 40-foot containers. The GPU count is the pitch; the power and cooling contract is the sale.
Getworks pitches its container data center on GPU count, up to 2,048 in the water-cooled four-container model. The 24 to 26 racks per unit matter less than the power and cooling those racks require from whoever buys them.
Getworks has started accepting orders for a container data center built from four connected 40-foot containers, sized for clusters of 64 air-cooled servers (512 GPUs) or 256 water-cooled servers (2,048 GPUs). The company points to racks drawing over 100 kW and says water cooling is becoming necessary for that heat load. Physical containers and the supporting lineup go on display at Japan IT Week Autumn at Makuhari Messe from October 21 to 23, with partner lectures at the booth.
[{"source":"ASCII.jp","url":"https://ascii.jp/elem/000/004/443/4443458/?rss","title":"Getworks Begins Full Operation and Order Acceptance for Container Data Centers Connecting Four 40-Foot Containers, Supporting Large-Scale GPU Clusters\
{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":[],"studios":[],"people":[],"type":"business","domain":"industry","is_roundup":false}
