The second requirement originally asked for applicants who could create illustrations using Blender or image generative AI. It now asks for Blender and 3D CG skills and says the studio is studying how AI can support creators' work. A separate statement said the studio has not decided to use generative AI for images and is studying its potential future use.
The studio kept the AI question open in both the edited listing and its statement, and limited itself to a promise to weigh rights issues before any implementation, so the revision answers the wording rather than the underlying plan.

The original listing ran on Felix Film's website between December 2024 and February 2026, and the opening requirement names the roles applicants should be aiming for: episode director, key animation director, character designer, or concept designer. The revision keeps that. It changes what the second requirement asks for.

In its statement, Felix Film wrote that it wants to use the technology to support its creative talent, not replace it, and said it would consider how copyrighted material would be used. The studio also credited production work on Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, Eiga Precure All Stars F, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, and MF Ghost. Applications are open to students graduating next spring.

Felix Film removed the AI image requirement from its animator listing but kept the door open: the studio says it has not decided on generative AI for images and is still studying future use.
Felix Film cut the AI image line from its animator listing. Its statement leaves the policy open: no decision on generative AI for images yet.
Felix Film edited the requirement instead of the policy. A separate statement said no decision has been made on using generative AI for images. The studio said it would consider rights issues and effects on the studio before any implementation.
[{"source":"Anime News Network","url":"https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2026-10-18/anime-studio-felix-film-edits-job-listing-that-encouraged-generative-ai/.242957","title":"Anime Studio Felix Film Edits Job Listing That Encouraged Generative AI\
{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":[],"studios":["Felix Film"],"people":[],"type":"news","domain":"industry","is_roundup":false
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2026-10-18/anime-studio-felix-film-edits-job-listing-that-encouraged-generative-ai/.242957
["Felix Film
