She also deals with bullies and a janitor named Tasuku. The episode opens with a vague cinematic flash-forward, and its voiceover and visual style stay deliberately unclear about where the series is headed.
A premiere that holds back its premise and frames the whole episode in a narrow aspect ratio is betting the audience returns for the mystery rather than for a clear setup.

The episode runs in an aspect ratio closer to 4:3 than 16:9, and the audience never gets an explanation for it within the episode. Translation notes sat in the dead space the framing left behind, so the boxing was not an error in how the premiere aired. The show pairs that framing with characters drawn without outlines outside close-ups, and roughly half the episode is composed of still shots.

Dengeki Daisy premiered at NYCC 2026.
