Stone Kite's first project, One Zero One, is live as a four-volume graphic novel on the studio's website, with volume 1 free to read. It follows a conflict between humans and AI-equipped robots and draws on Jones's novel An Oral History of Humanity's Final Invention.
Stone Kite is staking its pitch on letting the audience pick the entry point rather than treating other media as an extension of one primary story, a model the studio says departs from how transmedia is usually practiced.

Jones left Bungie's ranks in June 2026, when large-scale layoffs at the company included the Chief Vision Officer title he held. Stone Kite pairs him with Stohl, who has worked on novels, comic scripts, and game scenarios and served as narrative director on Destiny 2. Stohl told IGN that the medium telling a story first ends up setting its later direction, a premise Stone Kite says it wants to work around. Volumes 2 through 4 of One Zero One are planned for release in sequence.

Stone Kite launches with a graphic novel on its own site instead of a game platform. Jason Jones built Bungie's distribution around consoles; One Zero One bypasses that pipeline entirely.
Stone Kite opens with One Zero One on its own website. Jason Jones is selling a story, not a storefront.
Jason Jones left the machinery of Bungie behind and Stone Kite's first release is One Zero One, a four-volume graphic novel read on the studio's own site. No publisher, no platform holder, no store. That is the same argument he used to make about games, pointed at comics.
Jason Jones, a co-founder of Bungie, has established a new studio called Stone Kite with author Margaret Stohl. The studio's first project, One Zero One, is already out as a four-volume graphic novel, with volume 1 free to read. Stone Kite says it wants content rolled out across media in a way that departs from how transmedia is usually practiced.
[{"source":"Automaton","url":"https://automaton-media.com/articles/newsjp/20261003-471581/","title":"Bungie Co-Founder Establishes New Studio "Stone Kite," Project Unveiled Immediately; Aims for Content Rollout That "Breaks the Framework of Old Media"\
{"anime_titles":[],"manga_titles":[],"work_titles":["One Zero One"],"studios":["Stone Kite","Bungie"],"people":["Jason Jones","Margaret Stohl"],"type":"announcement","domain":"industry","is_roundup":false}
["One Zero One
Stone Kite","Bungie
Jason Jones","Margaret Stohl
