Sales opened the same day on Makuake, with a planned general retail price of 72,800 yen. The chair reclines up to 165 degrees and carries 6D armrests and lumbar support. Boulies also said Japan-market products and collaboration models with domestic IPs are planned.
For a brand that only began full-scale Japan sales in September 2025, the Makuake launch and the promised domestic IP collaborations show Boulies is building a local product line rather than importing its existing catalog.

Boulies used its first-anniversary Japan presentation to argue that gaming chairs should fit a home rather than a gaming room. CEO Bao Chenfei traced that idea back to his own time selling office and gaming chairs on Amazon in the UK, where he questioned whether the flashy designs of the period suited everyday living spaces.

The Master Rex 2026 puts that pitch in hardware: a 165-degree recline, 6D armrests and lumbar support, sold from October 22 on Makuake with a planned general retail price of 72,800 yen. Attendees at the venue could test the seat and adjustment functions directly. Beyond the chair, Boulies said Japan-market products and collaboration models with domestic IPs are planned.

Boulies opened Master Rex 2026 on Makuake before general retail, which tests demand at a lower entry point than the 72,800 yen list price. The crowdfunding round sets the volume target first.
Master Rex 2026 sells on Makuake first at a price below its 72,800 yen retail plan, so the campaign reads as a demand test before Boulies commits volume.
Boulies is using Makuake to price-test Master Rex 2026 before general retail, where the planned price is 72,800 yen. The crowdfunding campaign measures how many buyers a 165-degree recliner draws at a below-list commitment, and that number shapes how Boulies stocks the Japan launch.
Boulies marked one year of full-scale Japan sales with a presentation on October 22 and opened Makuake orders for the Master Rex 2026, a chair with a 165-degree recline, 6D armrests and lumbar support at a planned 72,800 yen retail price. The company also said Japan-market products and collaboration models with domestic IPs are planned.
[{"source":"GAME Watch (Impress)","url":"https://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/kikaku/2150562.html","title":"With up to 165-degree recline, it looks like you could even take a nap.
