The June 2027 release has no official teaser yet. Sony showed work-in-progress footage at Cinema Con in April.
The panel put the third film's process on the record rather than its plot, which keeps Sony's promotional position at a visual-ambition argument while the release date holds and the teaser stays unissued.

The session at the Javits Center came days before New York Comic Con occupied the same building, but Persichetti used it to talk about process. He directs the films with Justin K. Thompson. Since then the franchise's receipts have risen: $395 million worldwide for the 2018 film, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and $690.5 million for Across the Spider-Verse in 2023, nominated in the same category and losing to The Boy and the Heron.

Persichetti's "limitless" framing cuts both ways: the June 2027 date sits more than a year out with no teaser, so the bar keeps climbing while Sony releases nothing the audience can measure against.
Persichetti calls fan expectations "limitless." With June 2027 still ahead, the bar rises against zero footage.
Bob Persichetti describing audience expectations as "limitless" gives the June 2027 date an unusual problem.
