The release date and supported platforms have not been announced. The title came at the end of a video marking Bethesda's 40th anniversary, where a short teaser was shown on the company's official X account and YouTube channel. The teaser text carries an in-world inscription attributed to Yazar, a Moth Priest, addressed to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell and dated 4E 206. That date sits later than the 4E 201 opening of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which has fed speculation that the game takes place in Hammerfell, west of Tamriel. The game was announced at E3 2018, and for a long stretch afterward there was little follow-up. Bethesda has described the project as in development.
The subtitle and its Hammerfell dateline are the first substantive detail attached to a project announced in 2018, and they arrived attached to a corporate anniversary video rather than a dedicated reveal.

The teaser carries an in-world inscription rather than a release window. The full text reads: "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate." It is attributed to Yazar, Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell, and dated 4E 206.

Game Spark notes the title arrives with little else attached. "There is still no major information. The mystery deepens," the outlet writes, adding that the game remains in development at Bethesda Game Studios and follows Oblivion and Skyrim in the series line.

The subtitle was not a complete surprise. Game Spark had previously covered overseas reports, including from The Verge reporter Tom Warren, that the subtitle might be "Sentinel" and that an announcement could come as early as November. Those reports pointed to an eight-letter subtitle that matched redacted text posted by the XBOX CEO, who said he had seen actual gameplay.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel teaser is dated 4E 206, five years after Skyrim opens in 4E 201, so the subtitle and the inscription point at Hammerfell before Bethesda has said where the game is set.
The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel's teaser inscription reads 4E 206, later than Skyrim's 4E 201. Bethesda still has not named the setting.
The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel arrives with an in-world inscription dated 4E 206, later than Skyrim's 4E 201 opening, and addressed to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell. Bethesda Game Studios has not confirmed a setting, so the teaser is the only geography the game has.
Bethesda used the tail end of its 40th anniversary video to name The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. The teaser text points to Hammerfell and a year five past Skyrim's opening, but release timing and platforms are still unannounced.
[{"source":"4Gamer.net","url":"https://www.4gamer.net/games/422/G042263/20261104001/","title":"The Sixth Elder Scrolls Game Is Rumored to Be Titled "The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel"!
