Players on Reddit and overseas IGN have flagged the VIGIL operator skins: the Midnight Mirage support skin carries four pistols on its tactical vest, McNeil's armband reads "SECUTY," and Van Hassel's default skin leaves the head unprotected. IGN has asked Electronic Arts for comment.
The complaints land against DICE Vice President Rebecka Coutaz's October 2025 statement to the BBC that players would not see anything generated by AI in Battlefield 6, so the skins are now being read as a test of that promise rather than as ordinary cosmetic complaints.

The disputed items are specific. Midnight Mirage, the support class skin, has a pistol in the waist holster plus four more on the tactical vest, and its mask has drawn comparisons to Batman. McNeil's left shoulder armband reads "SECUTY" while "SECURITY OPERATOR" below it is spelled correctly, leaving users to argue over a typo, an organization name, or AI generation. Van Hassel's engineer default skin is heavily armored except for an uncovered head, and it carries a magazine for a .22 caliber Ruger 10/22 that does not appear in the game.

The VIGIL skin errors are cosmetic, but Electronic Arts has not answered IGN's request for comment. That silence is what turns a typo into a generative AI question for Battlefield 6.
Battlefield 6's skin errors are cosmetic. Electronic Arts not answering IGN's comment request is what makes them a generative AI question.
Battlefield 6's Season 5 skin errors are cosmetic on their own: four pistols on one vest, SECUTY on an armband, an unhelmeted head. Electronic Arts has not answered IGN's request for comment, and that unanswered question is what turns typos into a generative AI story.
Battlefield 6's Season 5 arrived October 13 with Las Vegas maps, new weapons, a Dead Space collaboration, and a battle pass built around the NATO faction VIGIL. Players on Reddit and overseas IGN have flagged the VIGIL operator skins for odd details, including four pistols on one vest and "SECUTY" printed on an armband. IGN has asked Electronic Arts for comment, and the questions sit against DICE's past statement that players would not see AI-generated content in the game.
[{"source":"Game Spark","url":"http://www.gamespark.jp/article/2026/10/15/173640.html","title":"AI-generated?
