Titles using the out-of-app payment service grew from 40 to 71, and the company's earnings results rose about 600 percent, according to the booth staff. App Pay sells paid in-game currency at app store prices with extra diamonds added, and the company says results still depend on whether users know the option exists.
Enlarging the storefront to 71 apps does not fix the structural problem App Pay itself describes: an out-of-app store is a narrow specialist shop that only converts during the sale events a player already cares about.

Digital Garage's App Pay used Tokyo Game Show 2026 to promote a web shop for Happy Elements' Ensemble Stars!!, running the game's music videos inside its booth.
